Location. The lakeside Intrigue Park Place Hotel is located in Kansas City, Mo., near the Missouri River and a few miles from casinos, shopping and historic sites. The hotel is on the northwest side of the city, six miles from downtown. Nearby attractions include riverboat casinos, within three miles, and Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun amusement parks, also within three miles. The K.C. Jazz Museum is five miles from the hotel. The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, featuring ancient Chinese displays and sculpture gardens is within eight miles.
Hotel Features. The on site restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with views of the lake. The hotel offers an outdoor and indoor swimming pool. The fitness center provides an additional venue for exercise. The renovated bar/lounge offers five flat panel televisions. The property was built in 1975 and renovated in 2005.

Expert Tip. Kansas City is a city for jazz fans. The historic downtown district near 18th and Vine Street features some of the best live jazz and blues in the city. One popular stop off is the Blue Room, a smoke free club that has live music four nights out of the week.
